Section 1
Terms of Service
Metryx is software for operational planning, trip evidence capture, reporting, and document workflows
used by owner-operators and fleets. It is a software tool, not a broker, carrier, dispatcher, law firm, accountant, or regulator.
Operational Use
Acceptance and eligibility
By accessing or using Metryx, you agree to these terms. You may use the service only for lawful business purposes and only if you are authorized to create, upload, manage, or share the records submitted through the platform.
What Metryx does
- Captures and stores user-provided operational records, including jobs, routes, costs, receipts, exports, and compliance evidence.
- May generate GPS-based mileage summaries, jurisdiction breakdowns, and audit artifacts when tracking features are enabled.
- May use third-party mapping, hosting, analytics, storage, and payment providers to operate the service.
Metryx provides software outputs and workflow support only. You remain responsible for the accuracy of your filings, route choices, pricing, safety decisions, and business operations.
Estimates, routes, and compliance outputs
Maps, route geometry, mileage calculations, profitability projections, and compliance summaries depend on user inputs, device conditions, third-party services, and platform limitations. Metryx does not guarantee that any route, estimate, mileage figure, report, or filing artifact is error-free, complete, or legally sufficient on its own.
You are responsible for reviewing and confirming records before relying on them for dispatch, billing, tax, IFTA, IRP, safety, audit, or other regulatory purposes.
You should also maintain independent copies of records when required by law, contract, customer requirements, or audit practice instead of relying on Metryx as your sole archive.
Acceptable use
- You may not reverse engineer, scrape, resell, sublicense, or clone the service.
- You may not use Metryx to violate law, hide fraudulent records, or misrepresent trips, mileage, receipts, or compliance documentation.
- You may not interfere with the service, bypass access controls, or attempt to modify locked or audit-sensitive records outside permitted workflows.
Suspension, termination, and changes
We may suspend or terminate access for fraud, misuse, security risk, non-payment, or violations of these terms. We may also update the service, these terms, or plan features over time. Continued use after an update becomes effective means you accept the revised terms.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Metryx is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Metryx disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, and error-free operation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Metryx is not liable for lost profits, lost revenue, failed loads, penalties, rejected filings, lost business opportunities, route issues, data gaps, or decisions made using the service.
Section 2
Privacy Policy
We collect the data needed to authenticate accounts, store records, generate exports, and support compliance and document workflows requested by the user.
User Data
Information we collect
- Account and profile information such as email address, authentication identifiers, company details, and support messages.
- Operational records such as jobs, routes, stops, rates, receipts, document uploads, run data, equipment profiles, and exports.
- Subscription and entitlement status needed to manage access.
- When enabled by the user, device location and trip evidence used for tracking and compliance workflows.
Location and mobile tracking disclosures
If you enable tracking features, Metryx may collect foreground and, where supported and authorized, background location data to build run evidence, route geometry, state mileage summaries, and audit artifacts.
- Location collection is intended for operational and compliance workflows initiated or enabled by the user.
- Background location, when available in native builds, is used to continue run capture while a tracked session is active.
- Device-level settings, battery optimizations, platform rules, signal quality, and permissions can affect data quality and continuity.
Metryx does not collect background location for advertising. Location data is used to support trip tracking, reporting, and compliance-related workflows requested by the user.
How we use information
- To operate the app, authenticate users, and sync records across devices.
- To generate calculations, dashboards, evidence artifacts, and export files.
- To improve reliability, detect misuse, troubleshoot support issues, and secure the service.
How data is shared
We do not sell personal data. We may rely on service providers that process limited data to operate Metryx, including:
- Cloud hosting, storage, authentication, and infrastructure providers
- Mapping and routing providers
- Payment and billing providers
- Crash, logging, analytics, or support tooling used to operate the product
Data security and retention
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no system is perfectly secure. We retain data only as long as necessary to operate the service, fulfill requested workflows, comply with law, resolve disputes, or preserve audit-sensitive records where required.
Section 3
Billing and subscriptions
Subscription access may be purchased through web checkout or, in native mobile builds, through platform billing where required by Apple or Google policies.
Access & Plans
Renewals and cancellation
Paid subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the next renewal date. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not retroactively refund prior billing periods except where required by law.
Platform-specific billing
Some mobile purchases may be billed and managed through Apple App Store or Google Play instead of direct web billing. In those cases, subscription management, renewals, refunds, and cancellation rights may also be subject to the applicable platform’s billing terms.
Pricing and feature changes
We may change pricing, plan names, packaging, and included features over time. We may also limit or discontinue beta, preview, or developer features at any time.
Section 4
Accounts, deletion, and user rights
Metryx users can manage their account, cancel subscriptions, and request deletion of stored data subject to operational, legal, and audit-related retention obligations.
Account Control
Account deletion
If Metryx offers account creation inside the app, users may also use in-app account deletion where available. Users may also request deletion support through the contact channels listed below.
For public deletion guidance, see Account Deletion Information.
What deletion means
- Deletion requests may remove account access, profile information, and user-controlled records from active systems.
- Some records may be retained for fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, billing reconciliation, or preservation of locked audit artifacts where retention is required.
- If you have an active subscription, cancel it through the applicable billing channel first to avoid future renewals.
Exports and data access
Where supported by the product, users may export records and artifacts before requesting deletion. If you need support with access, correction, export, or deletion requests, contact us using the details below.
Phone verification and multi-factor authentication
If Metryx offers email verification, one-time security codes, phone verification, or multi-factor authentication, your email address or phone number may be used to deliver account-protection and sign-in verification messages.
- These messages are used for authentication, sign-in verification, account recovery, and account security.
- Message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier plan.
- Security emails and SMS messages are not intended as marketing or promotional campaigns.
